Derby Car Prep

Both sets of Grandparents helped the boys with their cars. Mike took them over to Grandpa's workshop and he helped them cut their cars. Cole made a soldier truck and Colin made a race truck. After they got them cut out they took them home and sanded them.
Papa came to say over night and took them to the hobby store for paint and decals while I was in Wisconsin and Mike was at work. Papa helped them paint their cars.
Then they went back to Grandpa's and he helped them put their decals on. They turned out really cool.

Fiesta anyone

This is going to be a good time.

Just a crazy Idaho Fan.

What great seats!

Me and my Best Buddy!

Last but not least it was Colin's turn. He got to get out of school early and stay out late on a school night for the Fiesta Bowl. The Idaho Broncos vs the TCU Hornfrogs. They were rooting for the Broncos. Good thing to because they were surrounded by Idaho fans in case you didn't notice. Colin had such and amazing time. Going to a sell out college football bowl game has a lot more energy than just going to a regular season ASU game.
Colin was such a trooper, they stayed for the whole game and even got up for school the next morning with no problems. Thanks Chuck Neal for the great tickets! We are so lucky to have such great friends.

Mommy's Turn

I said I wanted to go to a Cardinals game only if they were playing to the Packers and the week after Cole went it was my turn. OMG I can't believe these seats!!! Three rows back on the 50 yard line! Hey Leinhart turn around, Fizt I'm right here. What an amazing way to see a game. To bad that the Cardinals decided not to play that day, well at least most of their starters. They got blown out. Lucky for me they were playing the Packers and I was really rooting for them :) However, the following week we played the Packers again at home and we gave it right back to them. Another great time with Tim and kathi.

Seeing Red

The Girls are so cute!

Auntie Kathi and Uncle Tim have season tickets to the Cardinals and it was Cole's turn to go with Daddy! What a great game, the Cardinals kicked the Seahawks butt. Cole had so much fun with Auntie Kathi she was his buddy the whole game. One of the highlights was seeing Big Red the Cardinal bird. What a lucky boy.!

Christmas Day

Colin got a basketball hoop and Cole was so excited to get a motorcycle helmet to ride with Papa! I got a humming bird feeder and both of the boys picked out beautiful Christmas jewelry for me and a heart shaped locket. Mike got new sunglasses, of course beer and a new briefcase.
Grandma and Papa were in London with Auntie Molly, Uncle Bill and Xavier for his first Christmas. Granny went back to Ohio for the Holidays for this first time in many years. It just wasn't the same with them gone.
On Christmas Eve my family came over and then we all went to church together. Then on Christmas Day we went to Jenny's for dinner and presents. The cousins had so much fun play together.

As usual the boys got too much stuff even though I had a harder time than usual shopping for them. Cole is 8 and Colin is 6, they have a million matchbox cars, tons of truck, police cars, firetruck, etc. We have not gotten them into video game and they don't seem to have a lot for this transitional age group. As you can see from the pictures Santa and I managed just fine.

I lost it

I lost another one. Two in a row. We thought it was never going to come out. It was just hanging their!

Construction

This is the first year we, I should say Mike and the boys made a gingerbread house. I was busy making cookies. They had a great time eating the candy and frosting, I mean decorating it.

Let's Roll

Cole loves his Papa and Papa's motorcycle. So when we found out that Papa was going to ride in the Christmas parade in Prescott we asked if Cole could join him. Cole was in his glory first being with Papa, second being on the motorcycles, third being in a parade and throwing candy to the kids. He had the "Best" time. Mike, Colin and I sat and watch and froze our butts off.
As you can see they needed a nap after such an exciting day.

Christmas is Comming

Santa Hats: $7

Red Tape: $4

Silent Night: Priceless

Have A Priceless Holiday

The annual photo shoot for our Christmas cards isn't alway fun or easy. We always try to use a cute and funny picture to capture our family. This year I saw this idea and just had to use it. The only problem I could foresee was getting the boys to go along with it. To my surprise they were totally game. Who knew they would be so willing to have their mouths duck-taped! To say the least we had a lot of fun.
